Background:
Inga is a PACFA and ARCAP registered counsellor. She brings both professional training and lived experience to her work, offering a compassionate and thoughtful approach grounded in depth-oriented psychotherapy principles and a background in allied health.
Specialty:
Inga specialises in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and stress; grief and loss; ageing related transitions; career and caring responsibilities; and cultural identity concerns. She also works with menopause and related women’s issues including sexuality and self image; relationship difficulties; divorce; blended family dynamics; migration experiences; and invisible illnesses.
Approach:
Inga draws on Existential, Narrative, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Attachment-Based therapies, alongside Emotion-Focused and Mindfulness-based practices. She strives to create a safe(r) and caring space for people seeking healing, growth or greater self-awareness, and works together with you to explore your current challenges and past experiences with care and curiosity.
Perspective:
Inga practises in a gentle, respectful, and non-judgmental way, valuing your unique inner world and meeting you with genuine care. She believes all people have a natural ability to find meaning, heal, and connect with others, and encourages you to welcome and accept all parts of yourself – including those that may feel vulnerable or previously overlooked. Inga sees this process as central to building richer relationships, living authentically, and finding deeper meaning in your life.

Important Notice
There are some people that our counsellors can’t work with – not because we don’t want to, but because we want you to have the best possible care.
If you currently experience domestic violence, are having a mental health crisis, are experiencing severe substance dependency issues, or other acute crises, we can’t provide you with the level of support you deserve. However, we will use your initial appointment to connect you with places that specialise in these issues, so you can get the best possible care.
All Rough Patch counsellors manage their own scheduling and administration. Click on a profile below to read more and send an email enquiry. In the rare event you don’t hear from a counsellor within 24 hours, please call us on 02 7226 0809
All of our counsellors generously reduce their usual fees to provide affordable mental healthcare to our community. They do not receive government rebates or funding to provide their services.
