Background:
Tegan is an ACA registered Counsellor and an AASW Accredited Social Worker who offers counselling via telehealth to individuals and couples. She has previous experience as an online therapist for both non-government organisations and private enterprises, as well as community health settings.
Specialty:
Tegan specialises in supporting individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression and stress; self esteem concerns; and relationship difficulties. She works with people who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, and who are seeking greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.
Approach:
Tegan’s counselling style is grounded in the belief that you already hold inner wisdom and the capacity for change, and her role is to help you find the right way forward based on this. She integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; mindfulness practices; and Narrative Therapy. Tegan works collaboratively with you, offering steady support as you reconnect with resilience, explore what matters most to you, and move toward meaningful and values-aligned change.
Perspective:
Tegan values compassion, gentleness and growth in the therapeutic process. She views healing as a journey of steady transformation, supporting you to reconnect with emotional clarity, inner strength and a sense of balance. Tegan aims to create a space where you feel safe to heal, grow, and build a life that feels authentic, empowered, and aligned with your values.

Important Notice
There are some people that our counsellors can’t work with – not because we don’t want to, but because we want you to have the best possible care.
If you currently experience domestic violence, are having a mental health crisis, are experiencing severe substance dependency issues, or other acute crises, we can’t provide you with the level of support you deserve. However, we will use your initial appointment to connect you with places that specialise in these issues, so you can get the best possible care.
All Rough Patch counsellors manage their own scheduling and administration. Click on a profile below to read more and send an email enquiry. In the rare event you don’t hear from a counsellor within 24 hours, please call us on 02 7226 0809
All of our counsellors generously reduce their usual fees to provide affordable mental healthcare to our community. They do not receive government rebates or funding to provide their services.
