Background: Inga is a PACFA and ARCAP registered counsellor with a background in allied health and bodywork. She brings both professional training and lived experience to her practice, grounded in depth-oriented psychotherapy and an embodied understanding of how emotional history is held in the body.
Specialty: Inga specialises in supporting adults through what might be called the “descent phases” of life: the periods when something is ending, shifting, or asking to be looked at more honestly. This includes grief and loss, separation and relationship unravelling, menopause and ageing-related transitions, cultural identity and migration experiences, and the kind of stuck-ness that resists easy explanation. She works with people who are less interested in quick fixes and more interested in understanding what’s really going on.
Approach: Inga draws on depth psychology, existential and psychodynamic frameworks, and body-based awareness to work with both the stories people carry and the way those stories live in the body. Her former background in bodywork informs a particular attentiveness to physical holding patterns and somatic experience alongside the talking process. She works slowly, gently, and at your pace.
Perspective: Inga believes not everything that surfaces in therapy needs to be resolved. Some things need to be met, witnessed, and understood. She works with complexity and shadow material without rushing toward resolution, trusting that clarity and groundedness emerge in their own time. Her aim is not to fix but to accompany, creating a space where all parts of you, including the parts that feel difficult or unfamiliar, are welcome.

Important Notice
There are some people that our counsellors can’t work with – not because we don’t want to, but because we want you to have the best possible care.
If you currently experience domestic violence, are having a mental health crisis, are experiencing severe substance dependency issues, or other acute crises, we can’t provide you with the level of support you deserve. However, we will use your initial appointment to connect you with places that specialise in these issues, so you can get the best possible care.
All Rough Patch counsellors manage their own scheduling and administration. Click on a profile below to read more and send an email enquiry. In the rare event you don’t hear from a counsellor within 24 hours, please call us on 02 7226 0809
All of our counsellors generously reduce their usual fees to provide affordable mental healthcare to our community. They do not receive government rebates or funding to provide their services.
