Rough Patch Affordable Counselling Expanding Service And Pivoting To Online Service Delivery Model

As a valued member of our community, I wanted to keep you informed about some upcoming changes to the Rough Patch model. You may remember that we did some fundraising in 2022 to remain open after some significant water damage and other issues with our clinic building. Unfortunately, as a result of ongoing financial constraints and the evolving landscape of mental healthcare in Australia, we have made the decision to transition to an online-only service delivery model for the time being.

This transition comes with mixed emotions as we say goodbye to our physical location. However, it also presents an exciting opportunity for us to expand our reach  nationally and continue providing compassionate mental healthcare in a virtual setting – except now, we can do this all across Australia. Our online clinic will continue to offer access to valuable mental health support for individuals, couples , and families, who will be able to engage in therapy from the comfort and convenience of their own space.

As part of our transition, we will be closing our mental health shop. The shop created a familiar space for people to access products that promote better mental health, while helping with our financial sustainability. However, closing the physical shop and moving to an online-only model will allow us to focus our energy and resources on providing the best possible mental healthcare in Australia.

To celebrate this new chapter and to express our gratitude for your continued support, we will be hosting a massive sale before moving online. Enjoy discounts of up to 50% off mental health books, self-care products, and other items that help build better mental health. This is our way of saying thank you for being a part of our journey and supporting our mission to make mental health support accessible to all.

Our mission remains unwavering: to bridge the gap between affordability and quality mental health care in Australia, and to build better mental health in our communities. We are confident that this transition will enable us to reach even more people in need of support, regardless of geographical barriers or scheduling constraints.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we navigate this exciting transition together. If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact me directly at [email protected]

Warmly,
