Zoe Weston
Available on: Fridays, and Saturday afternoons with additional availability by appointment.
Zoe is available for in-person counselling in North Avoca, NSW.
Background: Zoe is a PACFA accredited clinical counsellor with a Masters Degree in psychotherapy and counselling, and a Post Graduate Diploma in developmental trauma. She has experience working in both statutory and not-for-profit sectors, supporting diverse populations including young adults, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people facing marginalisation. Her training in developmental trauma informs her understanding of how past experiences shape present-day challenges, allowing her to offer compassionate, informed support without requiring clients to actively process trauma.
Specialty: Zoe specialises in supporting young adults and LGBTQIA+ clients navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and the ongoing effects of difficult experiences. She works with clients managing self-esteem challenges, boundary-setting, and finding solutions that work for their unique circumstances. Zoe is particularly skilled at creating affirming spaces for people with marginalised identities or experiences.
Approach: Zoe firmly believes that everyone has inherent strengths. She places client choice at the centre of counselling and focuses on building a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients can feel safe(r) and heard. Her practice is trauma-informed, person-centred, and strengths-based, drawing on various therapeutic modalities to meet each client where they are. Zoe works collaboratively with clients to identify patterns, develop coping strategies, and build on existing strengths.
Perspective: Zoe values kindness, respect, and transparency in her practice. She loves to walk alongside clients and support them to find a path that’s right for them. Zoe sees therapy as a collaborative process where clients are the experts on their own lives, and her role is to provide a compassionate, non-judgemental space for exploration, growth, and self-discovery. She believes that meaningful change happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and respected.

Important Notice
There are some people that our counsellors can’t work with – not because we don’t want to, but because we want you to have the best possible care.
If you currently experience domestic violence, are having a mental health crisis, are experiencing severe substance dependency issues, or other acute crises, we can’t provide you with the level of support you deserve. However, we will use your initial appointment to connect you with places that specialise in these issues, so you can get the best possible care.
