Background: Bec is an ACA registered Counsellor offering online counselling as well as limited walk and talk sessions on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. She works with adolescents (16+ years) and adults, and has experience supporting LGBTQIA+ people, people living with chronic illness or disability, sex workers, and culturally and linguistically diverse clients.
Specialty: Bec specialises in supporting people experiencing depression, anxiety and stress; neurodivergence; grief and loss; and parenting challenges. She is particularly passionate about working with neurodivergent adolescents (16+ years) and adults navigating identity, overwhelm, burnout, relationships, life transitions and the experience of feeling like they don’t quite fit. Bec focuses on understanding each person within the context of their experiences, relationships and environment rather than treating challenges as separate or unrelated.
Approach: Bec’s approach is to be curious about what could be sitting underneath your overwhelm, burnout, anxiety or feeling stuck, as a way of helping you understand what might be happening deeper down. She wants you to be yourself in session, without any pressure to have the right words or communicate in a particular way. She helps you to identify unhelpful patterns you may not have noticed, while making sure this is a collaborative experience for you – not something you’re doing “incorrectly”.
Her approach adapts to you rather than applying the same counselling ideas or methods to everyone, and she draws on a broad toolkit built through her training and experience. She has a particular interest in working with neurodivergent people, and pays attention to different ways of thinking, communicating and experiencing the world, rather than treating one way as the “correct” standard to measure against.
Perspective: Bec works from the idea that emotional responses usually make sense once you understand the experiences behind them, and she looks for that context before anything else.
She works at your pace, and focuses on building self-understanding and confidence in what’s already there, starting from what you bring rather than what the world may have implied is “wrong” with you. Sessions with Bec aim to feel unpressured, a space where you’re heard and can work out what actually matters to you.

Important Notice
There are some people that our counsellors can’t work with – not because we don’t want to, but because we want you to have the best possible care.
If you currently experience domestic violence, are having a mental health crisis, are experiencing severe substance dependency issues, or other acute crises, we can’t provide you with the level of support you deserve. However, we will use your initial appointment to connect you with places that specialise in these issues, so you can get the best possible care.
