Time Zone: Victoria AEST

Ludo supports individuals navigating trauma, identity, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ experiences, grief, and the impacts of marginalisation.

Background: Ludo is an AASW registered Social Worker with more than 18 years of experience working across trauma, mental health, and human rights. They offer counselling via telehealth across Australia, as well as walk and talk sessions in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. Ludo works with people from diverse backgrounds and brings a compassionate, trauma-informed perspective to supporting meaningful and lasting change.

Specialty: Ludo specialises in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and stress; identity concerns; LGBTQIA+ experiences; neurodivergence; grief and loss; cultural identity; past addiction; body image concerns; and the impacts of marginalisation. She also supports people navigating interpersonal relationships, spiritual questioning, purpose and meaning, and major life transitions.

Approach: Ludo’s approach is grounded in trauma-informed, relational practice, with a strong focus on creating safety, trust, and genuine human connection. They believe you are the expert in your own life and work alongside you to build on your strengths, supporting greater insight, choice, and meaningful change.

Her work is tailored to your individual needs, integrating approaches including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Solution-Focused Therapy, somatic approaches, mindfulness, creative therapies, and transpersonal practices. Ludo also draws on anti-oppressive and feminist perspectives, recognising the ways trauma, identity, relationships, culture, and systemic experiences can shape emotional wellbeing.

Perspective: Ludo believes emotional distress is often a meaningful response to trauma, relational experiences, and broader social contexts, rather than something that needs to be fixed. They see healing as a process that develops through safety, connection, self-understanding, and rebuilding a sense of personal agency.

Ludo values dignity, collaboration, and cultural humility, creating a space where you feel respected, understood, and empowered to reconnect with yourself, your relationships, and what feels meaningful in your life

Important Notice

There are some people that our counsellors can’t work with – not because we don’t want to, but because we want you to have the best possible care.

If you currently experience domestic violence, are having a mental health crisis, are experiencing severe substance dependency issues, or other acute crises, we can’t provide you with the level of support you deserve. However, we will use your initial appointment to connect you with places that specialise in these issues, so you can get the best possible care.
All Rough Patch counsellors manage their own scheduling and administration. Click on a profile below to read more and send an email enquiry. In the rare event you don’t hear from a counsellor within 24 hours, please call us on 02 7226 0809

All of our counsellors generously reduce their usual fees to provide affordable mental healthcare to our community. They do not receive government rebates or funding to provide their services.
